Birth certificate registration
After submitting the Oath of Faith and obtaining proof of Romanian citizenship, the next step is in the Romanian Civil Status Registry. Following this process, the applicant will be assigned a Personal Numeric Code (CNP). This is an essential step and the process also applies to marriage and birth certificates of children, if applicable.
Required documents: The list of documents varies depending on the place of filing, but in general they are required:

- In Romania: Transcription takes 2-6 months, depending on the city.
- At the Consulate: The process can take up to 6 months.

For the transcription of the Romanian marriage certificate, additional documents are required, such as:
- Marriage certificate;
- Citizenship and birth certificate of the spouse;
- Their report card or passport.
